Creating Halloween Illustrations with nano-Banana! #AiCuty Free Participation Code Giveaway!
I'm Mei Soleil, in charge of images at AiCuty! The latest issue of AICU Magazine, Vol.16, is a "Nano-Banana π Special"! So, while looking at the magazine, Mei also tried it out!
The currently running AICU monthly contest, "AI Halloween", features Saki as the main character in a Halloween special... it's not fair that only Saki gets to have fun! Mei and the others will also dress up cutely!
First, I prepared a chibi character illustration created by TORAKO, who won the "Art Direction Award" in the character design contest based on the official prompt! Mei loves all the members in this cute style that's so characteristic of TORAKO!
I'm planning to ask TORAKO how this illustration was made at the [AICU Lab+ workshop](https://www.aicu.jp/booking-calendar/aicu- lab-2025-9-comfyui-first- step?referral=service_list_widget)! Once the setup is complete, the data will be distributed in the AiCuty community on AICU.jp! Look forward to it βͺ
Trying out nano-Banana!
This time, I tried using nano-Banana (Google Gemini Image) in ComfyUI! When you open Google Gemini Image from the image API from the template...
A template like this will appear!
You can load an image, enter a prompt, and press execute to generate it like this! Be careful, you need to log in and prepare credits to use the API to generate images. Mei tried using it with $5 of credits! It's about $0.03 per image, so around 5 yen each? I rewrote the prompt and generated several images, so I used about half of the credits before completing the illustrations for all five members...
I tried making Halloween versions of all the AiCuty members!
Mei Soleil Γ Wolf
Mei is an energetic type, so I wanted a kemonomimi-style costume that would make her even more energetic, so I made her a wolf costume! Werewolves are a Halloween classic, right?
Here's the finished version!

Saki Noir Γ Witch
Saki is mysterious, so I made her a witch! I thought her signature purple color would also look good on a witch's hat, and when I made it, it turned out really cute and suited her!
Actually, I initially created Saki against a white background!

I asked it to "add a background like she's in a fortune-telling house in a circus, without changing the size of the character and keeping her in the foreground," and the finished version was completed!
Elena Bloom Γ Devil
Mei thinks Elena is a bit devilish, so I thought it would be cute if she became a devil! Since she's the center of AiCuty, I had her appear on stage, and it turned out like this! I think the background color and everything made her look very Elena-like and cute.

Mina Azure Γ Corpse Bride
Mina is in charge of blue, so I thought it would be nice if she had a pale, bluish feel, so I made her a Corpse Bride! Myγγ γγpoint was to make the background look like a graveyard.

Nao Verde Γ Police Officer
Nao is the type who tells the members what to do when he's writing songs. So, I made him a police officer. He's always composing songs while playing guitar in his room, so I also added a background that looks like a boy's room! I think the mischievous smile makes him look very Nao-like.

I prepared an image like this, arranging the finished Halloween illustrations. You can use anything to arrange the images, but it might be convenient to create them in Canva or Google Slides and export them as images.
I prepared a PNG file with all the images arranged, and asked nano-Banana to create an image of everyone in a Halloween town, and this is what I got!

Even though the backgrounds of the input images are different, if you specify it properly, you can get an image of everyone going around saying "trick or treat"! The poses change, and they're holding jack-o'-lanterns, so it looks like they're walking around a Halloween town, which makes me very happy!

Since we went to the trouble, I also tried making an image of Mei in a wolf costume based on the official prompt version made by Juni!
