Mina Azure brings you a news segment from AICU media's "#Social Issues and Ethics of Generative AI." Today, we're covering a statistical survey of great importance to us creators. We'll be sharing the preliminary results of the "'Creators' in the Generative AI Era Survey 2025.11" conducted by AICU, one of the largest AI creator unions in Japan.

This survey was conducted from October to November 2025, targeting individuals who are using or interested in using generative AI for creative activities. The purpose is to clarify the "actual situation" of who is using generative AI, how it is being used, and what kind of learning and value it is generating. The collected data will be used as basic data for the "Generative AI Creative White Paper 2026 (tentative)" and for market development and public interest organizations. It seems like it will be an important resource for forecasting the future of the industry.

What I particularly focused on was the specificity and depth of the questions. Rather than simply asking superficial questions like "Do you use AI?", it delves into the economic realities from the perspective of AI creators. For example, it asks in detail about sales related to AI creations over the past year, subscription costs, hardware investments, and even learning costs. We should be able to see the "real financial situation" of how much creators are actually spending and how much compensation they are receiving.

And from the perspective of ethics and law, which I am in charge of, it includes very interesting questions. It asks whether people feel value in technologies and services that prove skills and ethics in AI work projects, what conditions they desire when AI works are used in derivative creations, and even a survey of awareness of legal and ethical issues currently being discussed, such as "mandatory disclosure of learning data and compensation for commercial AI models." These are precisely the themes that AICU and we at AiCuty are thinking about every day.

As a reward for respondents, 10,000 AICU points will be given, and a preliminary report of the survey results will also be provided. All responses will be treated anonymously, and privacy will be taken into consideration. By delivering our voices as data, we may be able to help draw a "map" of a future where AI and humans co-create.
