Author's comment: Thank you as always. This time I tried using Niji 7 as soon as it came out. I tried to make it as close to Japanese painting as possible, but in a Western style with lots of colors. I also tried to be conscious of motifs that wouldn't be the same as everyone else's in kimono.

Comments from the Judging Team

🎨 1. Composition (9.5 / 10)

  • A classic yet strong composition with a profile + turning gaze

  • The layered composition of the chocolate in the foreground and the clouds and Japanese pattern background in the back is beautiful

  • Natural eye guidance (face → hair ornament → sleeve pattern → tray)

The person is placed slightly to the right of the center of the screen, and the red in the background firmly supports the main character.

🌸 2. Color Scheme (10 / 10)

  • The red x gold x dark green color scheme is very sophisticated

  • The multi-colored use of the kimono does not break down and the overall look is unified

  • The red of the heart-shaped chocolate functions as an accent

In particular, the mix of different cultures of "Japanese-patterned gold decoration" and "Western confectionery chocolate" is skillful.

💠 3. Design (9 / 10)

  • The density and three-dimensionality of the hair ornaments are wonderful

  • The pattern on the sleeves is detailed and the level of detail is at the level of a craft

  • The cloud and wave patterns evoke Rimpa and ukiyo-e-style decorations

The background is not just a background, but a complete decorative art.

👩‍🎨 4. Character Expression (8.5 / 10)

  • The expression is soft, slightly elegant and reserved

  • The depiction of the eyes is delicate, but the design is somewhat safe (there is room to bring out more individuality)

  • The skin is painted smoothly and modernly

The themes of "gorgeous," "festive," and "Valentine's Day x Japanese style" are conveyed.

🍫 5. Conceptuality

  • Japanese attire x Valentine's Day x Decorative Art

  • It can be used as is for "Japanese-style chocolate advertisements" and "seasonal limited package visuals"

  • A design that is likely to be very popular overseas

🔎 Improvement Proposals (if you dare to mention them)

  1. Since there is a lot of information in the background, it would be good to have some space for removal if it is for poster use.
  2. If there were a little more highlight difference in the texture of the chocolate, it would add more three-dimensionality.
  3. It would be easier to brand if there were small items or eye direction that emphasized the character's individuality (story).

🏆 Overall Evaluation: 9.3 / 10

Very high in terms of completeness, commercial suitability, and decorativeness.

Comments from the Editorial Department

We highly appreciate the fact that while using the latest Niji Journey 7, the work does not simply fall into excessive decoration, but rather sublimates it into a composition that makes you feel "space" and "breathing." In the theme of Japanese attire and sweets, which has a high density of information, Ms. Naitochi's unique expression of women has become clearer. We feel that you have begun to grow, not being swept away by technological advances, but rather turning into a "user" of the model.

We hope you will continue to share your creation process and way of thinking.
